Chris Brown has been arrested on rape and drug charges in France.
This is after a woman said she met him between Jan. 15-16 at club Le Crystal in Paris, went back to the Mandarin Oriental with him, and was assaulted there.
Prosecutors now have two days to either release Chris or decide if he'll appear in court. Once in court, the prosecutor can either ask the judge to keep him locked up until trial or release him with "obligations."
If Chris is released with obligations, he might have to hand over his passport and would have to stay in Paris until trial, which could take a year. If so, he would likely have to check in with the police station every two weeks to prove he's still in France. Two members of the singer's entourage were also detained by French authorities but no word if they've been arrested as well.
On the home front, the singer is still dealing with charges for owning a monkey and in regards to music, he just signed a historic record deal that grants him full rights to his recordings. He also dropped his single "Undecided."
Do you think the charges in France will stick?
