Check Out The Six Rappers Who Have Sold Over 100K First Week On Every Album

by HHL JT

There's nothing particularly special about an album selling 100K in its first week.

It's a solid but not spectacular result.

But six figures is more than five figures, so 100K has become the minimum a big-time rapper can sell in the first week without it being a total flop.

Six rappers will hit the 100K first-week mark on all of their albums.

RAP FACT: Drake, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, Eminem & Lil Wayne are the only rappers to sell over 100k first week with EVERY one of their albums 🔥🤯 pic.twitter.com/mo0cVY6vZB

They are  Drake, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, Eminem and Lil Wayne.

Eminem's inclusion on this list is debatable.  One could argue his debut studio album was 1996's Infinite, which was primarily sold out of the back of his car and only moved a couple hundred copies in its first week. Others would say his debut studio album was the much more successful The Slim Shady LP.

If you are wondering why Kanye West isn't on this list, his 2016 album The Life Of Pablo only did 94K in its first week, hampered by a typically chaotic launch.
