Charlamagne Tha God wants to make amends with Nicki Minaj, which he admitted during a recent interview.
Their beef started after he said her "Anaconda" single was trash. He also called Nicki trash while doing an end-of-the-year recap with Joe Budden.
The Young Money rapper then said that Charlamagne and other media personalities led a "hate train" against her, a claim that Charlamagne denied.
"Me and Nicki used to be super, we used to be really cool," said Charlamagne during his interview. "Yeah, I was very vocal about not liking the 'Anaconda' record back in the day and yeah, definitely, probably Nicki. I got a lotta respect for Nicki. What Nicki has done is unprecedented. She revitalized female Hip Hop over the past decade ... All of these new artists, every single one of them from [Cardi B] to [Megan Thee Stallion], it's because of Nicki. Nicki opened that lane again."
