Charlamagne has a history of hating on Drake.
This week, he took a victory lap over Drizzy's new SZA featured track "Slime You Out."
"Drake put out a song last Friday, and nobody cared," CTG said. "It came out last Friday and people just started talking about the lyrics yesterday."
We're not entirely sure CTG is correct about nobody caring. HitsDailyDouble has "Slime You Out" as the most streamed track of the week.
But it fits CTG's thesis that Drake is over. Here is what he said a few years back:
"Let me ask y'all a question: are we still in the Drake era? Or is radio such a prehistoric form of media that it hasn't changed the temperature to what's actually going on out here in these streets? It still feels like we're in a Drake era. I don't think we're in a Drake era, I don't think we've been in a Drake era for the past three or four years."
While it's true that Drake is no longer as big as he was during the Views era -- when he was challenging Taylor Swift and Adele for the most popular artist in North America -- he's still by far the biggest act in the Hip Hop space.
Maybe For All The Dogs will flop next month. But, for now, it's hard to argue against Drake still having it.
