The Neptunes sound completely dominated right around the turn of the century and Billboard ranked them the top producers of the century's first decade.
Tracks under the banner of Pharrell and Chad Hugo's production partnership became fewer and further between in the century's second decade.
According to Hugo, that's soon going to change. He told Clash magazine the Neptunes are currently working with a bunch of big artists.
“I’m focusing on The Neptunes stuff, getting back on The Neptunes grind. We’re doing a couple of things. There’s a video game soundtrack that’s in the works right now that I can’t speak about… We just did some work with Miley Cyrus, JAY-Z, Blink 182, Lil Uzi Vert, Brandy, Ray-J, Snoh Alegra, G-Eazy.”
Hugo said there is also music coming with Lil Nas X, Kaytranada and Dua Lipa.
