Peso Pluma is a huge star in Mexico and a rising star in the United States.
But the 24-year-old's career may soon hit the most morbid of snags.
The CJNG Cartel, which is considered the most dangerous in Mexico, has threatened the singer's life.
In a banner posted above a bridge in Tijuana, the cartel wrote, "It will be your last performance for being disrespectful and having a tongue if you show up, and we will f*cking kill you."
It isn't uncommon for Mexican performers to be killed by the cartels.
Pluma's next show is at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago -- where he should be relatively safe.
He returns to Mexico for a show in Tijuana on October 14.
