Carmelo Anthony's trainer Chris Brickley said Melo is still better than 60 to 70 percent of the players in the NBA earlier this week. And now Brickly has doubled down on that claim after his words made headlines.
"To set things straight. My well publicized comments about @carmeloanthony were MY personal opinions and I’m not speaking for Melo or anyone else," wrote Brickley. "I stand completely by the fact he deserves to be in the league. I also stand by the fact when he decides to move on it should be on his own terms. He has a lot to offer any team on and off the court."
There's been a lot of Melo talk over the past few weeks. Chauncey Billups recently said the former Houston Rocket isn't in the league because he's too concerned with scoring. And Damian Lillard said Melo deserves a farewell season, which is something Stephen A. Smith disagreed with.
Should Melo be on an NBA team or should he officially retire?
