Cardi B Says She's Finally "Free" After Settling Lawsuit

by HHL JT

In 2018, Cardi B's former manager Klenord “Shaft” Raphael sued Cardi for $10 million for breach of contract, non-payment, and defamation after she fired him.

She sued him back for $15 million, claiming he signed her original deal without a lawyer present.

Last week, both suits were dismissed.

"This action, including all claims and counterclaims, is hereby dismissed in its entirety with prejudice against all parties. The parties have further agreed that all parties to this action shall bear their own costs and attorney’s fees," read the ruling.

That would be a good result for Cardi, who would have had a lot more to lose.

Bardi reacted to the settlement on Twitter.

"Feels good to be free," she typed.

There had been talk that the lawsuit was holding up Cardi's music, so we may be getting a flourish of tunes from the reality TV figure turned famous rapper.
