Many said they had a problem with The Bronx rapper wanting to spend so much on a purse, considering how many people are out of a job and suffering because of COVID-19.
"Donate 88k to a charity for people that need help right now," one person tweeted. "u know the people that buy your music to perhaps get thru these shitty time's...idk jus sayin."
Cardi — who recently said she doesn't reach out to male artists because she gets star-struck — shot back and explained that she's already given a lot to charity. Some of her fans then defended her and told others to back off.
