Canelo Alvarez Threatens Lionel Messi Over Disrespecting Mexican Flag

Argentina broke out of its brief slump and beat Mexico in a pivotal group stage World Cup match this weekend.

During the locker room celebration after, Argentina's superstar Lionel Messi was caught on tape putting his foot to a Mexico national soccer team jersey.

While the move could certainly be accidental -- players swipe shirts after the matches and some of those sweaty jerseys could end up on the locker room floor-- Mexican boxer Canelo Álvarez felt that Messi had disrespected his homeland and issued a threat.

"Saw Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag?  He should ask God that I don't find." read a translation of a comment Canelo made.

Is Canelo just pissed that it's looking like Mexico won't make it out of the group stage for the first time in a long time?
