Candace Owens, Of All People, Is Sticking Up For Megan Thee Stallion

This is surely out of left field: Candace Owens is going to bat for Megan Thee Stallion as the court tries Tory Lanez for allegedly shooting Megan in the feet two years ago.

The conservative host is mostly known for spewing white supremacist rhetoric, palling around with Kanye West, and coming down on Black Lives Matter. She also criticized Meg and Cardi B's performance of "WAP" at the Grammys in 2021. 

But on her podcast, Candace defended the rapper against people who've accused her of lying about the shooting while calling her "brave."

"I’ll tell you what happened online. Megan was mocked by women and men alike, particularly in Black culture. They couldn’t believe this situation happened. They think it’s funny, maybe, that she got shot in the foot and had to get surgery performed," said Candace on her podcast. "I am not trying to blame the victim in this circumstance, but at a certain point, there is going to have to be a reckoning in Black culture, amongst the artists, to realize that even in a music that we create, and the music that Megan Thee Stallion creates, she perpetuates this kind of culture that allows this [violence] when you degrade women in your music.”
