The beef that took place between Cam'ron and Jay-Z in the early aughts is well-documented, which Cam talked about on a recent episode of N.O.R.E.'s Drink Champs. The Dipset leader also explained why he removed Jay's verse from his 2002 single "Oh Boy," which had to do with Philly rapper Peedi Crakk. [Jump to the 1-hour mark].
“He had the song, ‘One For Peedi Crakk.’ That was his song by itself," Cam said about the State Property member. "I put me and Juelz on it. Take it to Dame, say I’m about to f*ck with it. Dame said, ‘He from State Property, you should f*ck with it ... So he’s playing the song for Jay-Z and my verse come on and Jay say, ‘Stop it, erase that sh*t.’ And erased my whole verse.”
He continued. “Jay one day was like, ‘I did a little something for you in the studio. I was coming in the studio and he was walking out. He had listened to ‘Oh Boy’ and it was already poppin’. So I listened to it and I was like … erase that sh*t. He did the sh*t to me, so I erased it. And that’s how the song got erased.”
Any reaction to Cam's story?
