Bushwick Bill's Son Responds To Willie D Trashing His Dad In Interview

Shortly after Bushwick Bill died at 52 of pancreatic cancer, his Geto Boys bro Willie D said some not very nice things about him in a VladTV interview, painting him as a drug addict who made bad business decisions and had a huge chip on his shoulder about his height.

"It was a problem throughout his life," Willie said about Bill's drug abuse. "I wasn't around him every single day or even every month, but whenever I was around him over that time, no matter how long the gaps were, it was a problem. It was always a problem. Sometimes he would be okay. Then he mess around and get a little sip of something or whatever he would do. Go in that room, come out, bam. Something totally different, bro. Like somebody totally different. So, that was the thing: You never knew what Bill you was gonna get."

Bill's son Javon Boutte reacted to Wilie's words in a statement to HipHopDX.

“I didn’t take heed to him or acknowledge him at all,” he tells HipHopDX. “My uncle told me go ahead and just see what he’s saying since he’s mentioning my name. I just basically saw a lot of things that were not facts. I was there with my dad over these last several months — from everything that led up to when he got sick and to him passing.

“A lot of things were invalid. When it comes to speaking on somebody in general and the fact that he’s not here anymore, I feel like if you going to say something, at least let it be positive. If you’re going to speak on it, at least let it be facts.”
