Bryson Tiller's debut album Trapsoul started out slow.
But it's been selling steadily since its October release, and is now a bona fide hit.
Tiller was on Hot 97 today, and during the interview Rosenberg pointed out that he has an OVO vibe to him. Tiller agreed, and explained that he turned down OVO for RCA -- a decision that haunted him at first, but that he's come to love.
It was one of the worst days of my life when I signed to RCA...It felt like fate that I was supposed to sign with OVO," Tiller explained "I remember couple days before I did [sign to RCA], 40 had called me and was like, ‘Yo man, this is actually a great deal ... I haven’t seen a deal like this in a long time.’ He thought that I should take it."In addition to 40's blessing, Tiller said Drake -- who had personally recruited him to OVO -- made sure that there were no hard feelings after he inked his deal with RCA by inviting him to the club.
Tiller starts talking OVO at about 6 minutes.
