Boxer With Brain Damage Suing JAY-Z And Roc Nation

Boxer Daniel Franco suffered a brain hemorrhage and slipped into a coma after being knocked out in 2017. He still suffers from slurred speech and has to wear a helmet. He is now suing Roc Nation and Jay-Z personally for his injuries.

Franco signed with Roc Nation Sports in 2015. He argues in the lawsuit that Roc made him take a fight in March of 2017 even though he had been sick with the flu and couldn't train. He says both he and his father had told Roc they needed to cancel or postpone the fight.

Franco then suffered two skull fractures and a brain bleed after being TKOed. Yet he still fought again in June, which is when he was knocked out and suffered the more permanent injuries.

The 25-year old claims Roc Nation told him they would help cover his medical bills but never did, at one point telling him to put up a GoFundMe page.

“They left me out there to dry." he told The Blast.

He's seeking unspecified damages from both Roc and JAY-Z.
