At one moment, Bow Wow seemed to have a pretty solid brand after being a successful rapper, actor, and TV host.
But he eventually started getting clowned online a lot and became the subject of numerous memes.
Arguably the biggest social media faux pa Bow committed was lying about being on a private jet when he was actually on a regular commercial flight. Something called the "Bow Wow Challenge" started after that.
During an interview on the My Expert Opinion podcast, Bow said Diddy once pulled him aside and gave him a stern talking to about his online antics.
"That n*gga told me straight up, ‘Don’t be doing no clown sh*t. What’s wrong with you?'" Bow explained. "'N*gga, you know we don’t associate with no clown sh*t. You Bow, n*gga, you better understand your brand and get out here and go to work' ... That conversation is what put everything in perspective for me. Once I had that conversation, I’m like 'Damn. I can’t be doing that dumb ass sh*t cause I’m around the top dogs.’”
