Lil Tjay was shot outside of a Chipotle in New Jersey just over a week ago, and things did not look good.
Luckily, there is news that the New York rapper has regained consciousness, and is doing better than originally reported.
TMZ caught up with another NY rapper, Bobby Shmurda, and asked him about Tjay, the shooting, and what rappers have to deal with nowadays.
“It’s important for all the young guys to know out here, life is very serious. I come from where they come from, so every chance you get? You gotta smile. Every chance you get, spread positivity cause muthaf*ckas might be having a negative day. They don’t know how to go about sh*t, you know?”
When asked if Lil Tjay could ever return to a normal life, Shmurda had a pretty intense response.
"When we come from where we come from, we ain’t never normal"
Maybe Jim Jones was right when he said that rappers have the most dangerous jobs.
