Earlier this year, Bobby Shmurda pled guilty to one count of attempted promoting of prison contraband, a crime that will get you 1.3 to 4 years.
The incident took place in 2015, when female friend of Bobby passed him a sharp object during a Rikers Island visit. He was caught with the chiv, and charged with promoting prison contraband, perjury and criminal possession of a weapon.
Today he was sentenced to the full four years for the felony.
In a stroke of rare good luck for Shmurda, the judge confirmed that he will allow the sentence to run concurrent to his seven year sentence for murder conspiracy.
Bobby could be eligible for parole in about four years if he keeps his nose clean.
