Despite rumors to the contrary, Bobby Shmurda is still very much locked up.
He got a brief break from Rikers Island yesterday when he was in the Manhattan Supreme Court pleading not guilty to the eight counts against him. Shmurda's lawyer tried to have his bail knocked down from $2 million during the proceeding. But no dice and Bobby was shipped back to jail.
However, Bossip reports that Shmurda has just caught a break on his bail. According to the website, Bobby has secured celebrity bail bondsman Ira Judelson, who will be putting up Shmurda's bond as early as next week. Judelson, who's bonded out Plaxico Burress, Ja Rule, Lawrence Taylor and Dominique Strauss Kahn, had this to say about his newest famous client.
"At the end of the day, I’m their bank. I’m the one who is going to be putting up the money to secure their appearance in court,” Judelson told Bossip after attending a hearing for Shmurda and his GS9 co-defendants at Manhattan Supreme Court Thursday. “Bobby is relying on me to put up the $2 million to get him out the door, get him back to his family and get his music career back on track."There are reports that Shmurda has already turned down bail money from both his label and his uncles.
