Bobby Shmurda remains locked up on drugs and guns charges, and faces 25 years in prison when he finally gets to trial.
Earlier this year, his new lawyer Alex Spiro hinted at what his client's defense was going to be when he requested information on the cops who arrested Bobby back in December 2014, alleging they have a history of planting weapons and making false arrests.
Shmurda has also said that he was targeted by the officers because he's black and he makes rap music.
Yesterday, a judge denied Shmurda's access to the officer's disciplinary records, dealing his "cops set me up" defense a setback.
So far no word from Bobby's camp on the disappointing ruling.
The earliest he is expected to go to trial is May 11th.
