The word has been that Bobby Shmurda's label Epic Records refused to post his $2 million bail after he got picked up outside of Quad Studios in late 2014.

Bobby Shmurda spoke on that during his new interview with Vlad TV. While he never directly addressed the bail -- other than to say it was out of scale with what he was accused of -- he disputed the narrative that Epic did him dirty.

"[Epic] threw money for a lawyer. They was in court. A couple of them shed a couple of tears ... I'm still rocking with them.  They know I come from the streets. My past caught up with me. It is what it is," Bobby said. "Money still in the bank, money still coming in."

Later in the chat, Shmurda said he believes the cops got jealous when he blew up, and that's part of why they arrested him. But it was the cops he knew his whole life that brought him in. Not the notorious Hip Hop police.

"It made them more envious. But it ain't no Hip Hop police. The cops that locked me up knew me since I was four. They've been locking me up since I'm 12," Bobby explained.
