Black Panther the movie has just posted the sixth largest North American inflation-adjusted opening ever.
Its $201,823,000 three-day total trails only the two Avengers movies, the two latest Star Wars, and the Jurassic Park reboot.
Black Panther's soundtrack, which came out a week early, also enjoyed a big opening.
The 14-track album, which was produced, curated and stars Kendrick Lamar, did 156K SPS with 52K in traditional album sales over its first seven days. That busted through its initial 120K projections and was enough for an easy first place win over another soundtrack, The Greatest Showman (73K SPS.)
Migos's Culture 2 was fourth this week with 69K SPS. Where you one of the millions to see Black Panther? If so, what did you think?
