Eddie Murphy and Bill Cosby have long had a fractured relationship. When Murphy was starting out Cosby would lecture him about using bad language and talking about how much money he had.
“He wasn’t nice,” Murphy said of Cosby while being interviewed by Jerry Seinfeld. “He wasn’t doing that with everybody, he was doing that with me specifically. He was sh*tty with me.”
Murphy took a swipe at Cosby, who's now locked up on sexual assault charges, last night in his return to Saturday Night Live.
"My kids are pretty much my whole life now, but if you would have told me 30 years ago that I would be this boring, stay-at-home house dad and Bill Cosby would be in jail, even I would have taken that bet," Murphy said during his monlogue, before launching into a Cosby impression.
Cosby went nuclear in his clap back, which was released through his spokesman this evening, accusing Murphy of cooning and being a slave who decided to stay on the plantation despite being granted his freedom (by Cosby.)
Did Murphy deserve Cosby's highly racial attack?
