Big Sean Breaks Down In Tears While Talking About His New Album

by Daryl Nelson

Big Sean held a live session yesterday, during which he talked about his new album with tears in his eyes.

"I’ve been having a hard time lately, straight up. It has not been easy," he said at the 1:37 mark. "But it's worth it."

From there, Sean's voice began to tremble as he spoke with wet eyes.

"The whole concept of the album is like Better Me Than You, so when you go through your sh*t, it’s like you the one who can handle it ... It gets hard. Your faith gets tested, for sure," he explained.

Sean — who admitted that internet critics get to him — then talked about putting his all into the art he makes and grew even more emotional.

He turned his chair around after that to gather himself.

Then later, he revealed that his Better Me Than You album would drop this Friday, August 30, and revealed the cover. The album was supposed to come out on August 9.

"Look, I can keep working and make it exactly how I want it, and I’ll be pushing it back forever," Sean rationalized. "Or I can believe in the fire-ass work that I got right now and that’s what I’ma do."

How amped are you for Better Me Than You?
