Folks like Birdman have said that B.G. will be getting out of prison early, but that won't be the case.
Earlier this week, U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan denied B.G.'s early release, so he'll be locked up until 2024.
In May of 2020, the New Orleans rapper, whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, wrote a letter to the court and asked for an early release, stating that "enough is enough. He also claimed to be a changed man, but the judge didn't see it that way based on his many prison violations.
"Dorsey argues he has been rehabilitated and is no longer the same person who committed these offenses. His prison record belies such an argument," wrote the judge.
B.G. was arrested in 2009 on weapons and drug charges, then sentenced to 14 years in 2012. He was also convicted of witness tampering.
