Benzino Says Guy Who Sold Him Racist Eminem Tapes Killed Himself

by HHL JT

Benzino scored rare points in his otherwise one-sided beef with Eminem when he got his magazine The Source to publish the so-called "racist Eminem tapes", on which a young Marshall uses racial stereotypes and disses Black women in a freestyle

During a VladTV interview, Zino explained how he got the tapes.

"I was in Puerto Rico and I got the call from Dave [Mays] that three white kids came to the office with the tapes.  They call it the "racist rap hour tapes.' I jumped on the next plane home, met with the guys.  I was just like, 'where's the tapes, who much do you want for them'.  They had been trying to sell the tapes to Irv Gotti, wanted 50 bands for them.  Had been trying to sell them for over a year.  I said I'd give them 15."

They accepted.  Benzino went on to say The Source would have bought the tapes and put them out even if he wasn't beefing with Eminem

Benzino added that one of the guys who sold him the tape ended killing himself.  But Zino doesn't think him buying the tapes was the reason for that, as if he didn't do it someone else would have.
