Since it was revealed last month that Benny The Butcher inked a deal with Def Jam, some have been really concerned.

There are a lot of folks who've said the label will only slow down his career, which often happens when an independent artist signs to a major.

Meanwhile, others are worried that Def Jam will water down Benny's music, so he addressed all the concerns on Instagram and told everyone to calm down.

“You n*ggas who be in my DMs, who be in my comments saying like, ‘Yo, don’t let Def Jam do this’ or ‘Don’t let Def Jam do that.’ What y’all on?” asked Benny. “What you think a n*gga work this hard and was this self-made for this long to get somewhere and let somebody tell me, ‘You know what, you can’t do it like this no more, you gotta do it like this.'”

He continued. “Y’all gotta use y’all f*cking brains before y’all start thinking sh*t like that. I’m a boss. You feel what I’m saying? That’s how I got here, by making my own decisions and they understand that so stop saying sh*t just to say it.”

Do you think Benny is in good hands with Def Jam?
