A fake report that Beanie Sigel had died made Christmas a little less merry for fans of the emcee who was shot three weeks ago.
On Tuesday, the satirical website NahaDaily.com posted a death announcement for Sigel, who has been hospitalized since taking a bullet in the gut on December 5. Although there were clues in the article that it was fake, the satire hit a bit too close to home, and by Christmas there was all sorts of Twitter reactions to Beans's death.
Freeway, who has known Sigel since he was in high school, hopped on Instagram Wednesday to try to head off the rumors, telling the world that Beanie is alive and fighting.
Police still don't know who shot Sigel. Although they believe he wasn't the target, and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The 40-year old has been listed in critical condition and has been described as being unable to speak.
