The saga of Antonio Brown just got a lot stranger and darker
Just days after forcing his way of out Oakland and into the arms of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, we've learned the superstar receiver has been accused of rape and assault by his former trainer.
Brown is being sued in Federal court by Britney Taylor, a gymnast he met while at Central Michigan.
According to Taylor, there were two incident of abuse in June of 2017.
In the first, he kissed her without her consent. In the second, he snuck up behind her when she was at home watching TV and masturbated on her back.
On May 20, 2018, Taylor alleges Brown pushed her face-first into a mattress and forcibly raped her.
Taylor, who filed the suit today, released a statement on the assault.
“As a rape victim of Antonio Brown, deciding to speak out has been an incredibly difficult decision,” Taylor said in the statement. “I have found strength in my faith, my family, and from the accounts of other survivors of sexual assault.”
Brown's lawyer put out a statement, denying all of the charges.
