Amber Rose made a big announcement Wednesday night at the All Def Digital Awards.
"Do y'all know Ace of Diamonds? Well, I bought it," she claimed from the podium. It's quite a story; former stripper buys notorious strip club.
However it may not be true.
The owners of AoD say Amber hasn't put a dime into ownership of the club. They call her comment "unequivocally false", and are suing her for a million dollars for slander.
TMZ has some insight into what's going on.
Amber formed a corporation called Ace of Diamonds, Inc. and back in December filed for a trademark on the name, as well as the abbreviation "AoD." The docs say the trademark will be for "entertainment services in the nature of live dance performances" and "gentlemen's clubs featuring exotic dancing."In other words, Rose is planning on opening her own Ace Of Diamonds strip club to rival the famous West Hollywood house of boobs.
The trademark has yet to be approved, and since the current AoD has been operating for years, it may not be.
This isn't the first time Rose has spoken out of school in front of a live audience. In 2015, she announced to a club crowd that Travis Scott ghostwrote Kanye West's songs. She later took back her remark, claiming she was drugged when she said it.
