.The Internet has played a big part in the beef between Pusha T and Drake.
Between the "Story of Adidon" cover, that showed Drake in blackface, and the memes about the Canadian rapper having an alleged baby mama, there may have been more talk about the social media stuff than the actual diss songs.
But in a recent interview, A$AP Ferg focused more on the rapper's lyrics in the beef and said Pusha and Drizzy brought back wittiness and skill, which is something that's been missing for a while.
"I love that shit," he told DJ Whoo Kid. "We need that shit. We need that shit, because I'm getting a feeling that, like, when Nas said Hip Hop was dead, he was on to something. At first, we was like 'You wildin'' ... But he foreseen it. With a lot of the stupid stuff that's coming out or the wack shit that's coming out, we're losing the art of lyricism and just being able to be witty with words. What happened to that?"
Ferg also said rappers need to learn more and gather additional information so they can rhyme about other topics.
"What about being sharp on your feet, having an IQ? What about reading a book so you can have more shit to talk about?" he asked. "I think that was being lost and then Pusha and Drake, they resurrected it. They sound like classy niggas going at it."
What do you think? Would you rather see two rappers go back and forth with songs or go at it on social media, making threatening videos and stuff?
