Lil Wayne knew he stepped in it soon after he shot a controversial Nightline segment in which he aggressively dismissed Black Lives Matter.
TMZ reports the rapper's team sent multiple emails to ABC demanding they not air the segment, arguing the interviewer Lindsey Davis asked a question that wasn't pre-approved (about Wayne's daughter) and therefore everything that followed should be scrapped.
ABC didn't respond to the emails and obviously aired the segment.
Wayne was apparently so furious about how it all went down that he fired his publicists.
We guess Weezy is more aware of what's going on around him than he sometimes seems.
