Amy Schumer Demanded More Money From Netflix Because Of Chris Rock & Dave Chappelle

Back in March, we shared the news that Netflix paid Dave Chappelle a ridiculous $60 million to do three stand-up comedy specials.  The company also paid Chris Rock $40 million to do two shows.

Since then, comedian and actress Amy Schumer scored a deal with Netflix and initially was going to be $11 million a show. But now she's demanding more because Chappelle and Rock received so much.

There's been a lot of chatter that she isn't deserving of that kind of dough.

Many argue Schumer isn't as funny as Chappelle and Rock, and she certainly doesn't have the same resume. Plus, she's been accused of stealing jokes from other comedians like Patrice O'Neal, Wendy Liebman and even actor Zach Galifianakis.

On Wednesday, she addressed some of the talk about her pay.

Hot dog dog. Thanks for chiming in on what you feel I deserve to be paid. I believe women deserve equal pay. However I don't believe I deserve equal pay to Chris and Dave. They are legends and 2 of the greatest comics of all time. I would like to say that I have been selling out arenas these last couple years. Something a female comic has never done. That's a big deal to me, especially because I know I do my best every night on stage for the audience and they have a good time. I didn't ask for the same as my friends. I did ask for more than the initial offer. I will continue to work my ass off and be the best performer I can be. The reports of me "demanding" or "insisting" on equal pay to them aren't a true. #fat #stealsjokes

So far, neither Rock or Chappelle have addressed the Schumer-Netflix thing.  But Dave did respond to people who accused him of being transphobic. The rumor started after some of the comedian's jokes where heard as he rehearsed for his upcoming residency at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.

"I wouldn't consider myself that, because I'm not even sure what the term means," said Chappelle when someone asked him if he was transphobic or not. "Do I discriminate against somebody because they're trans? I would like to think absolutely not."
As far as Schumer being paid the same as Chappelle and Rock, you can see some of the Twitter chatter on that below.
