Takashi 6ix9ine, who's a lighter skinned Hispanic, uses the word "nigga" in both his songs and his social media trolling.
He addressed that in his Breakfast Club interview.
"Bro, who’s gonna stop me? I can see those comments all the time," he said when CTG brought up those who may be offended by a Mexican dropping n-bombs. "Who? Why can’t I say it? I can say it. Who’s gonna stop me? … It's the way I grew up. It’s my culture. It’s how I grew up in Bushwick, Brooklyn .... It's my vocabulary. It's not like oh shit, I'm not African American, I'm not dark skinned."
Then 6ix9ine asked New Yorkers Angela Yee and DJ Envy if it was common for Hispanics in NYC to say "nigga". They both confirmed it was and brought up Fat Joe, a light-skinned Hispanic who was a fan of the word.
