Even though RZA said he comes from the era of "dope lyrics," he's not into dissing the new generation of rappers. He also dislikes the term "mumble rap."
"First of all, what is mumble rap, who made that title?" he said while speaking to Montreality. "I bet you the guys who's doing it, they didn't call it mumble rap. That's what the media calls it. Let them make their music and have fun and do their thing."Despite the Wu-Tang legend's positive stance on some of the younger rappers and their sing-songy flows, he does suggest they need to stay away from lean, the popular liquid concoction made of cough syrup, soda and sometimes hard candy, like a Jolly Rancher.
