Earlier today, we shared a message from Big Black's former TV partner Rob Dydrek about his recent passing. If you didn't hear, the 45-year-old died of a heart attack on Tuesday (May 9).
Black's ex-wife Shannon Turley reveals that he was in a Texas hospital for several days, as doctors watched his heart and overall condition. Black had a defibrillator put in his chest some time ago, and there was a discussion about putting him on the transplant list for a new heart.
Turley reports that after the reality star lost consciousness, doctors tried to bring him back for a total of 30 minutes, but were unsuccessful. Black has been living with Turley since his health took a turn for the worse, although they've been divorced since 2009.
Besides his ex-wife, the former MTV star is survived by their nine-year-old daughter Isis.
