Joe Budden and Lil Yachty have been going back and forth.
It started when the retired rapper said Yachty was ruining rap culture, which the Atlanta spitter responded to. Even Yachty's dad got into the mix and dissed Joe pretty badly.
Today Mr. Budden and Yachty sat down on Joe's show Everyday Struggle and talked about their different opinions on the current rap scene. At one point, Joe asked the 19-year-old to explain the photo on his Teenage Emotions album cover (which features two men kissing), since it stirred up so much controversy.
"The message is just to believe yourself. Love yourself," said Yachty. "It's just showing all signs of life ... I'm the outcast of the Hip Hop game. These are all outcasts on this cover. All I'm basically saying is, you can be yourself and still be okay with that."From there, Yachty said he doesn't care about all the backlash he gets, because he's happy, but Joe said that nobody is happy all the time. Yachty disagreed.
"When you come from a college dorm room, with no money ... and you ain't getting no play with no girls, you have no clothes, you have no car ... and you come to having three or four cars, millions of dollars, half a million dollars on your body just to wear and any kind of clothes you want, any hoes you want, how can you be upset?" responded Boat.As the conversation progressed, Joe said that he doesn't take back anything about the young rapper ruining Hip Hop. But Yachty admitted saying the Notorious B.I.G. was overrated was a mistake.
"I don't regret it, but it was definitely a mistake," said Yachty about those comments. "It was a terrible thing to say."You can watch the entire interview below.
