Pop Smoke did pretty darn well at the Billboard Awards last night, winning five posthumous awards, including Top New Artist, Top Rap Artist, and Top Rap Male Artist.

His mother Audrey Jackson accepted an award and gave a speech.

"Thank you to the fans for honoring the life and spirit of my son, so much that he continues to manifest as if he were still here in the flesh," she said. "He created music for the kid who has to sleep four in a room, the kid who has to figure out how to get to school each day so he can graduate and make his mom proud. He did this so that 14-year-olds would not have to kill to prove they are somebody."

50 Cent, who executive produced Pop's album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, responded to the late rapper's win and said Pop fulfilled a dream on Sunday.

"Pop said he wanted to take his mom to a award show. 😏 mission accomplished," wrote 50.

The awards come shortly after new details emerged in Pop's 2020 murder. It's said that he was in the shower when a group of men entered his Los Angeles AirBNB through a second-floor balcony.
