When Nicki Minaj abruptly hung up her mic this week, she acknowledged her early retirement would make her many haters happy.
"I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE," she typed on Twitter.
50 Cent can certainly be a hater. But he had nothing but love when he heard Nicki was no more.
"Both these niggas crazy, but you know you gotta love it SOUTH SIDE. I don’t want @nickiminaj to retire just take a break," Fif commented under a photo of Nicki and her guy Kenny Petty.
Criticism of Petty, who's served time for serious crimes and who's been flashing firearms on social media, is said to be one of the reasons Nicki stepped away from the rap game.
