50 Cent Explains Why DaBaby will Survive Cancelations

by Daryl Nelson

Some of the people who've defended DaBaby after he made homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami last month include, T.I., NLE Choppa, and Nick Cannon, who said the North Carolina rapper needs to be educated.

DaBaby has already lost a partnership deal with the clothing line boohooMan for his comments, and he's been booted from several festivals.

50 Cent recently weighed in on DaBaby's problems during an interview on E! News' Nightly Pop and said the "Suge" rapper didn't realize how big he is. If you recall, Fif recently said that he was mentoring DaBaby.

“He’s a really talented, special artist and he just transitioned from being in that pool that everyone’s in as a rap artist, they didn’t notify him that he’s turning into a superstar,” said 50 on Nightly Pop. “There’s nobody that tells you, ‘Now you’re being held to these mainstream standards. You can’t say and do these different things' ... He didn’t have a publicist involved. That’s why the response took so long. Even his apologies ... The first apology attempt at it is what made it worse."

50 then compared DaBaby to Chris Brown, who Fif explained has survived multiple cancelings.  Suggesting DaBaby will survive too.
