40 Explains Why Kanye's Name Is In Credits Of Drake's Cudi/Pusha Diss

by HHL Editors

We were all scratching our heads when we learned that Kanye West had production and writing credits on Drake's track '2 Birds, One Stone,' which comes for Kanye's friend Kid Cudi and label mate Pusha T.

Noah “40” Shebib, who also produced the song, explained the situation on Rap Genius.

“Me and Kanye produced the track, I made it from some drums he had given me. Not quite the elaborate story the world is looking for.”
By why the writing credit, too?

“When someone contributes to a song as a producer/musician they are considered a writer, as he is alongside Noah Shebib and the other musicians on the song,” a source close to the situation told Genius.
So there you go. It's still notable that Drake and 40 would aim a song with Kanye parts at Pusha and Cudi.

But, as we mentioned earlier, there's a lot of theater in this rap beef.
