300 Entertainment Bought By Warner For Huge Bag

300 Entertainment, which helped launch the career of Young Thug, Migos, Fetty Wap and more, has been purchased by Warner for an estimated $400 million.

300 was founded by Lyor Cohen, Roger Gold, Kevin Liles, and Todd Moscowitz in 2012.  Cohen exited the label in 2016 to be head of global music at YouTube.

Current artists include  Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, Gunna, Fetty Wap, Shy Glizzy and Tee Grizzley.

300 had been on the block since October.

Quality Control Music CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas had announced his intention to buy the company on social media. “I Wanna Buy @300 My Bankers On Deck. Let’s Have The Conversation,” he tweeted.

However, his bankers couldn't beat whatever package Warner offered, and now the smallest of the three major labels has a much heftier Hip Hop wing.
