Adam Hossein Nayeri, Bac Duong and Jonathan Tieu didn't just escape from the maximum-security wing at an Orange County, California jail last year.
They recorded the whole thing on a contraband cell phone.
After two weeks on the lam in San Francisco, Duong turned himself in and Nayeri and Tieu were captured.
Now the video of their escape and what they did after they got out has been released.
Lt. Lane Lagaret, an Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman, said the footage is part of their investigation into the escape.
"We will not provide additional comment on a video narrative that seeks to or make light of criminal actions," he said.Duong was facing charges including attempted murder, assault with a firearm, first-degree residential burglary, and shooting at an inhabited dwelling before his escape. He also had a host of prior convictions.
Nayeri had been facing charges including kidnapping, aggravated mayhem, torture, and first-degree residential burglary. Tieu's charges included murder, attempted murder, shooting at an occupied motor vehicle, and street terrorism.
The three men are also accused of kidnapping cab driver Long Ma during their escape.
