2Pac's Sister Sues Executor Of Pac's Estate Tom Whalley For Embezzlement

Tupac Shakur's sister Sekiwah Shakur is suing Tom Whalley, who's the executor of Pac's estate, for embezzlement.

According to Sekiwah, Whalley has paid himself $5.5 million over the past five years while effectively running the label Sekiwah says she and her late mother Afeni Shaku set up to distribute Pac's music posthumously.

Whalley, who signed Pac to Interscope back in the day, became executor of Pac's estate in 2016 when Afeni died.

Sekiwah says Whalley was supposed to transfer some of the funds Pac's estate makes to her, but she's not getting properly paid.

"He has effectively embezzled millions of dollars for his own benefit well in excess of what would be reasonably necessary to retain a properly qualified third-party to perform such services," a petition to the court from Shakur's attorneys states. "As a result, Whalley has unreasonably enriched himself at the expense of the beneficiaries and in bad faith by taking excessive compensation in a position from which he should properly be barred based on the inherent conflict of interest.”

Walley's lawyer denies his client has done anything wrong, pointing out he was a long-time friend of Pac's and was personally appointed executor of 2Pac's estate by Afeni before she died.

"These legal claims are disappointing and detrimental to all beneficiaries of the trust," Whalley's lawyer said.. "We are confident the Court will promptly conclude that Tom has always acted in the best interests of Amaru, the trust, and all beneficiaries.”
