2 Chainz Explains Why He Turned Down A Deal With JAY Z

2 Chainz is doing pretty well for himself. His album Rap Or Go To The Leauge has a fighting chance of topping the chart in its first week of release.

Would he have done better if he had started his career JAY-Z?

We'll never know. But we did just learn he had almost signed with Hov back in the day. However, instead, he remained loyal to the DJ/manager who discovered him in Atlanta.

“Hov was like, ‘I want you to come to New York, I heard you making a lot of noise’. And the only reason that I didn’t go was because I said, ‘Can I bring my buddy Tek with me?’ He was like, ‘Why you wanna bring your DJ for?’ But I’m trying to tell them that bruh helped me get to the point where I’m on your radar, you know what I’m saying? I couldn’t go by myself. I just chose loyalty,” 2 Chainz said.
