Although 2 Chainz is a few years older than T.I., Tip got big first.
The two Atlanta rappers were chopping it up about their careers when T.I. tried to take credit for inspiring 2 Chainz.
2 Chainz wasn't having it and explained that another Southern rapper provided him with the fuel to make it big.
"No, no, I'm going to be honest," 2 Chainz said. "With the work ethic I got, I'm going to be honest bro, it wasn't like I was around you. I just saw you from the outside. Wayne had a lot to do with it."
"That's right," his name going to be there too," T.I. said.
2 Chainz then expanded upon how Lil Wayne (and not Tip) inspired him.
"When I see what he doing, he going to sell a million records in one week. When they told him he sold a million records, guess where he was at? In the studio. Period. That's the end of this whole thing. The man do two hours on stage, get on the bus. Where he at? In the studio. So the first bus I ever buy. Guess what I got on it? A studio."
