12-Year Old Rapper Lil C-Note Arrested; Did The Police Go Too Far?

by HHL JT

12-year-old rapper Lil C-Note got a little viral fame when he appeared on Ellen last year.

He's now gone viral for a much different reason.

The seventh-grader was arrested for selling his CDs at Cumberland Mall in Georgia without a permit. As you can see in the video below, the arresting officer kept the youngster in a tight, aggressive hold, and things went really sideways when the boy's aunt got involved.

The police say that they had warned C-Note twice not to sell his CDs at the mall and he tried to run from them when they approached him a third time. They are conducting an investigation, but Police Chief Michael Register told Channel 2 Action News the officer was "within his rights."

"I wish the aunt, who is an adult, would simply have tried to de-escalate the situation," Register said.
