Young Thug Claims He Is Dropping 'Tha Carter VI' For Real

A year ago, Young Thug said he was going to name his debut album Tha Carter VI.

At the time it seemed like it was a tribute to Lil Wayne. And that Thugger wasn't being entirely serious about doing so.

A lot have changed since then, in particular the Birdman/Thugger/Wayne dynamic. So when Thug took to Instagram today and claimed that Tha Carter VI is on the way ... We'll, we don't exactly know what to think.

Especially since his record label sent out this tweet, seemingly confirming Tha Carter VI by Young Thug.

Judging by Thugger's original IG post -- in which he raps over a Wayne beat -- Tha Carter 6 could be a mixtape. But it seems like it's going to be something tangible, and more than just trolling fun.
