Vin Diesel Speaks On Beef With The Rock

The Rock had everyone talking in August when he called out one of his male The Fate of the Furious co-stars.

This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses

It was widely reported that the "chicken shit", "candy ass" Rock was speaking on in his post was fellow burly action hero Vin Diesel. Diesel also produces the Furious franchise, and there had been murmers of him getting special treatment on set.

The Fate of the Furious hits theaters on Friday. Diesel spoke to the USA Today about his relationship with Rock during his press rounds for the movie.

“I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way,” Diesel told USA Today of. “I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work [for] this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.” “I protect the franchise. I protect everybody, including Dwayne,” he continued. “I protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that’s me.”
It's interesting that Rock still has that IG post up.

Although this does all sort of smell like a publicity stunt.

What do you think?
