He got a lot of criticism for the Tweet because Tupac obviously isn't his father, and some folks thought he was comparing himself to the legend.
TMZ caught up with Tyga yesterday, and asked him about the Tweet.
"I'm inspired by [Tupac]. As a student of the culture," Tyga said. "My real father has been in jail all my life. So I never really knew my real father.
